“Chris” I groaned, unable to move my arms and legs. I glared at him as he keeled over with laughter, tears running down his face. “This isn’t funny”
“Wait let me take a picture” Chris sputtered, barely able to speak. “Where the hell is my phone?”
“Stop!” I whined, squirming around on the couch. “Help me out of this thing”
His house was unbelievably cold, making my fingers and toes turn to icicles. Along with my sniffling Chris felt the need to bundle me up in at least twelve blankets. Then carried me out to the living room and plopped me on the couch.
I felt like a newborn baby, swaddled in comfort, prepared to burst out in tears at any second.
“Okay I will” Chris promised, patting his pockets. “As soon as I find my phone”
Deciding to just help myself, I hopped to the other end of the couch. Only for my foot to slip, and for me to topple towards the floor.
“Woah!” Chris snatched me up before I hit the ground, holding me close to his chest. “Are you okay?”
I felt like even more of a baby, I silently nodded my head. Chris held his composure for about five more seconds before cracking up. Something inside me got angry with him, a small fire surging through me.
Kicking him in the groin, he dropped me instantly. Both of us fell to the floor, a slur of curse words escaping his mouth.
“What the fuck was that?” Chris groaned, rolling over onto his belly.
“I don’t know” I cried, freeing myself from the blankets. I rushed over to him, not knowing how to help. “I’m so sorry, What can I do?”
“Maybe if you rub it” he huffed, trying to keep a straight face. “It’ll feel better”
“Shut up” I slapped his shoulder, not amused by his sexual joke. “Stupid ass”
Chris gasped, mouth shaping into a perfect “O”. For a second I didn’t realize what the problem was, but when I did I clamped a hand over my mouth.
“You said a bad word!” Chris shouted as though I would get in trouble, “You said ass!”
I never cursed, even when I was upset. Obviously that wasn’t me, and he obviously hadn’t even noticed. My guard was down, feeling extremely sad about Michael moving on. Which left room for Nicki and Skye to come and go as they pleased.
“What are you gonna do, spank me?” I teased as I stood up from the ground.
“Only if you want me to” Chris challenged, wrapping both arms around my waist.
I stared at him for a long moment, trying to unlock the guarded emotions behind his eyes. There was something he wasn’t saying, something he was leaving out. I couldn’t understand where his new found sense of humor had come from.
“What?” he asked, eyebrows pushing together as his hands fell back to his sides.
Opening my mouth to respond, another female voice called his name. Seeing as she asked him to help bring in groceries, I presumed it was his mother.
Chris gave her a kiss on the cheek, the action giving me a sense of hysteria. Had I met her before?
“Devyne” the woman smiled brightly, pushing Chris out of the way to open her arms for a hug. “I didn’t know you would be here”
“I didn’t really know I would be either” I mumbled, stepping into her embrace. Apparently the answer to the question I’d just asked myself was yes.
“Are you staying for dinner sweetheart?” she patted my back lovingly before releasing me.
“Well” I turned towards Chris for an answer, watching him heave grocery bags onto the counter. “Chris and I just had lunch not long ago”
“He made you lunch?” she gasped, turning to stare at Chris. “He must really like you”
I felt my face get hot, cheeks burning of embarrassment.
“Stop blushing” Chris leaned in to nuzzle his nose against my cheek playfully. “She’s kidding around”
“I know” I lied, clearing my throat so that I wouldn’t sound so unsure of myself. “I was just—”
“Where are the boys?” his mother interrupted, speaking to Chris.
“They went out” he muttered softly, eyes somber as they gazed into mine. For some reason I felt guilty about that, knowing that they probably wanted to leave because of me.
“More food for us” she added cheerfully, rinsing a skillet in the sink.
“Chris” I called, an eerie feeling sweeping over me as he towed me back towards the couch. “I think I should leave”
“Why?” he sighed, sitting me down on his lap.
“Because I feel weird” I grumbled, embarrassed to have to say it. Hoping that would be enough to scare him into releasing me, I squirmed against him.
But his grasp only tightened. “I don’t want you to be alone tonight Devyne” he leaned down to whisper into my ear.
“I’d rather be alone than do something I’ll regret later” I told him honestly, fearful of that very thing. Today had already been a series of unfortunate events.
“Do you think I’m gonna take advantage of you?” Chris gasped, amping up his act of being offended.
“No” I murmured, leaning closer so that I could kiss his cheek. “I think I’ll take advantage of you”
The look on his face was one of confusion, emotions flaring so much that his face turned a light shade of pink. Realizing that my response had been a little to blatant, I slipped away from him.
And this time, he let me.
“Thank you for lunch” I whispered politely, feeling awkward as his gaze slipped from my eyes to my lips. Lips down to my chest, and throughout the length of my body.
“It was nice meeting you” I called to his mother, giving the nicest smile I could.
Her expression mirrored Chris’, eyes hitching together in confusion. “It was nice seeing you again Devyne” she corrected sweetly, “Come back anytime.”
“Okay” I told her, not wanting to lie and say that I would. Grabbing my purse, I trudged over to the front door. I thought I was home free until I heard his approaching footsteps.
“You don’t have to leave Devyne” Chris trailed after me, leaning in through the window after I’d already gotten in the car. “I want you here”
Tears stung my eyes at the sight of his angelic smile, dimples deep as the ocean. When he first started to lean forward I didn’t know what he was doing. But his eyes were set on my lips again, and I easily put two and two together.
I was able to whisper his name before his lips touched mine, silencing me with a kiss. It was unbelievably gentle, his tongue delicately massaging mine. Fingers trailing along my sides, I slowly leaned backwards.
He chuckled, my hands clutching at the front of his shirt. I had nearly pulled him into the car with me, wanting his body pressed against mine.
“I’m sorry” I shook my head quickly, believing my actions to be too forward. “This is exactly why I should be leaving”
“No” Chris panted, still trying to catch his breath. “This is exactly why I want you to stay”
His eyes were burning into mine, the fire behind them warming my soul. I would’ve loved to have gone back inside with him, but I couldn’t tell if those feelings were mine….
Or Nicki’s.
Until I could figure things out, I decided to just leave it be. So I gave him one soft peck on the cheek, telling him that I’d see him later. Obviously not being what he wanted to hear, Chris opened his mouth to speak once more.
“Please” I smiled brokenly, cutting him off lightly. He nodded stiffly, seeing the fight I was in.
He watched me as I pulled out, throwing a hand in the air. I waved back with a flick of my wrist, trying to zoom off before the waterworks started again.
As much as I enjoyed his company, I needed to be alone. That was the only way I’d be able to sort out the jumble inside me, known as my feelings.
I tried not to think about him, but my thoughts about Tyga were eating at me.
Obviously he had already moved on. Why couldn’t I just let him go?

I glared at her while she laid in bed, my bed to be exact. I was sick and tired of all this mopey shit, bored of her “poor me” act.
“I want you out of my house Bianca” I growled from the doorway, arms folded tightly over my chest.
“Leave me alone Ty” Bianca mumbled, still facing the opposite direction.
“I’m not leaving shit alone!” I shouted, banging on the doorframe to get her attention. She jumped, spinning around to look me in the eye. “Get the fuck out”
“Why are you doing this to me?” she cried, eyes glossing over in an instant. “You know I don’t wanna be alone!”
“It’s been a month Bianca!” I said each word distinctly, “Get over it already.”
The look on her face was one of hurt, deep pain and suffering. I knew I was being irrational, even unsympathetic. But I just wanted her out.
“You don’t understand” Bianca wiped at her cheeks, glaring at me. “No one understands what I’m going through”
“Then go somewhere and get some help” I suggested with a shrug, undeterred. “As long as you aren’t here”
“You’re gonna make me spend Thanksgiving by myself?” she asked, appalled.
“Stop asking me all these fucking questions” I stomped into the room and grabbed her bags, walking back out to throw them down the stairway. “Leave”
Bianca bit her bottom lip to keep it from quivering, tears running down her cheeks as she stared at me.
“Why can’t you just hold me?” she asked in soft voice. It was the only time I’d ever seen her so gentle, so fragile. “Why can’t you just tell me you love me? Tell me everything will be okay?”
“Because I would be lying” I told her without thinking twice, the words flying out of my mouth.
I guess if you were telling the truth, you didn’t have to think twice about things.
My mind knew exactly who I wanted, who I’d been yearning for.
“Fine” Bianca mumbled, voice cold as ice. “I can’t believe I fell in love with such an asshole”
I almost choked, hearing the words “fell in love”. There was no way in hell that was even possible. I stared at her with wide eyes as she trudged down the stairs, picking up her bags from the ground.
“Aye bitch” Honey called from what sounded like the kitchen, yelling for Bianca’s attention before she walked out the door.
“What?” Bianca snapped, hand on the doorknob.
“You dropped something” Honey said calmly, meanwhile the laughter in the kitchen sounded through the house.
Not wanting to let her finish, Bianca shuffled out the door before she could.
“I’m so happy that bitch is gone!” Honey yelled up the stairs to me, laughing now. “It’s about time!”
“Stop screaming” I mumbled, stepping into the room. Her and Shay sat at the island. Apparently they had just been smoking a blunt, the smell hit my nose instantly. “I’m right here”
“She was depressing as hell, made me wanna take my own life” Shay pantomimed slitting her throat.
“She was just going through some things” I said in her defense, staring down at the floor. I had never told them why Bianca had been staying here, simply because it wasn’t their business.
“Does this mean you’re getting back with the other one?” Honey asked excitedly. “Devyne?”
The room fell silent as they waited for a response.
“I doubt it” I sighed, pushing Shay out of the way so I could sit down. She shoved me back, but scooted over. “I messed things up real bad”
“Who cares” Honey dismissed my response with a wave of her hand. “If you still love her then nothing else matters, you still love her right?”
“Of course I do” I replied, not thinking again. Anyone else would say that I sure had a funny way of showing it, but they weren’t around to witness the damage I had done.
“Then go find her!” Shay instructed as though I was stupid.
“Right now” Honey added, snapping her fingers for effect.
I rolled my eyes at how annoying they were, wanting to kick them out too. “It isn’t that easy. Besides, no one I know talks to her anymore”
“There isn’t one person you can call?” Honey raised any eyebrow in disbelief.
“No there i—” I stopped short, thinking of the person who probably never left her side. Taking the spot that should’ve been mine.
She laughed when I stood up, snatching my keys from the counter. Shay gave her a high five, both of them snickering.
“I can’t stand you two” I said glumly. “Especially you” I mussed Honey’s hair as I walked by, purposely trying to mess it up.
“Love you too bro!” Honey pushed my hand away, expression angry.
As soon as my feet hit the pavement I was running to my car, racing down the street. I knew Chris would be home, and I knew he would know where Devyne was.
Therefore I didn’t bother calling.
Lol! They’re all just scaredy cats hmmm?
Not really though…lol his intentions aren’t very pure……
“Who does mean things like that” <—— Are you talking about Brian?
I kinda want them to be together too….honestly. Brian is a very sweet mean, and his intentions are good. Unlike Michael and Chris he truly cares for her. All of her. He isn’t going to be scared away by Nicki or Skye, he knows what he’s doing.
